Health Care Reform
Three areas of health care require change. Reform of these three
areas, along with adjustments in other operating areas and
reduction of waste, fraud, and abuse will ensure affordability
and availability of health care.
The three areas in need of
immediate reform are:
-- Lawsuit (tort)
reform: Patients should have the right to sue health care
providers when they have been wronged. However rational
liability limits and consistent liability standards will reduce
insurance premiums for health providers as well as patients.
-- Insurance
portability: Each citizen should be able to change jobs
and/or locations and continue with the policy he has. When
desired, each individual should be able to switch among
competing insurance carriers. Several insurance companies should
be competing for customers across multiple states. This will
provide each insurance provider with large pools of insured
individuals of all ages and health conditions, thereby setting
up for expanded coverage of people with pre-existing conditions.
Large pools of insured people of all health conditions will
reduce everyone's premiums because there will be more
individuals paying their fair share into the premium pools.
-- Insurance
availability for people with preexisting diseases: People
who have ongoing and long-term health care needs should be
covered at reasonable rates in order that health care may be
provided to the sick of all ages and conditions. Rates will
decline with larger pools of individuals covered by competing
insurance providers.
Well planned and
designed improvements implemented in the three areas
listed to the left will lead to improved service
levels because:
-- Health care providers
will be protected from excessive lawsuit
liabilities;
-- Insurance
companies will cover more individuals at fair rates;
-- Insurance
providers will need to provide top caliber services
in order to have more individuals join their plans.

If Republicans win -- gain control of the White House & the US
Senate & House -- taxes will be decreased. This will improve the
economy. People will be allowed to keep more of the money that
they earn. Tax decreases also provide more money to the
government it may use to perform the work that it must do.
That's
great.
That's
good. I do not want to pay more of my money to government.
Issue & Consequence >>> Obama claims that
Republicans will use race to stoke fear. In Florida, Lt. Colonel
Allen West, a candidate for Congress in Florida's 22
District, released the following:
My advice to Obama is to
be a Man and Leader, and the American
people will evaluate you as such, not as a victim. This
is a Presidential race, based solely on a capacity to
lead the United States of America. It is not about skin
tone...however, perhaps we should come to expect these
immature statements.
It also seems rather humorous that the Presidential
candidate who was supposed to be such a "uniter"
and transcend race is the one talking about it the most.
If Senator Obama was confident in his abilities and
character, he would not need to create a crutch for
failure. Senator Obama has just tipped his hand, any
criticism of him and his policies will be directly
attributed to racism. I congratulate Senator Obama for
taking race relations in America back some 30 years.
Of
course, but Obama is too weak to run as a traditional real man.
Issue & Consequence >>> Why can't the US elect a black man
or woman as its president? No reason not. But let's elect a
black person who has experience, earned worthiness, and is a
patriotic American who believes in the many positive and grand
US ideals and causes?

Issue & Consequence >>> Today's rise of a black man who
has accomplished little other than successfully having used his
minority status to demand and gain academic and government
benefits is a consequence of 40 years of forced regulation of
who must be hired, admitted, and accepted -- regardless of
actual qualifications. And doesn't it make so very many of us
feel sweet and good and generous to give away what is not ours
while we feel totally insulated and protected from negative
outcomes? But today we see there are potential negative
outcomes! Yes, the rise to the presidency of a spoiled,
inexperienced, anti-American, anti-capitalist would not be good
for you or me.

Issue & Consequence >>> George Washington, Thomas
Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin
Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Ronald
Reagan?
These have led to Barack Hussein Obama.
My
children should not grow up seeing this present-day sinister, malevolent
subversion of the leadership of The United States of America.
